Book, Poetic autobiography and other texts (F. Gullar)[LS]
Descrição
Language: Brazilian Portuguese. This special and limited edition of Poetic Autobiography and Other Texts accompanies a DVD with the documentary O canto e afuria, directed by Zelito Viana. The documentary, whose circulation was – until then – restricted to film festivals, is an invitation to the reader who wishes not only to read, but also to see and hear what Ferreira Gullar has to say about his career. The texts in this volume reveal, in an honest way and sensitive, the trajectory of Ferreira Gullar. It is a statement, a reflection on his poetic work, in accessible language, in a frank dialogue with the reader. The book also brings together two interviews with Gullar, one from 1965 and the other from 2014, and essays on important names in international literature – César Vallejo, the great national poet of Peru, the enigma Fernando Pessoa and the rebel Rimbaud –, expressing the vision of Gullar on artistic creation. The work is illustrated with photos from different periods of the poet's life. On the DVD, included exclusively in this edition, Ferreira Gullar explains the choice he made for political poetry in the early 1960s and reads some of his favorite poems.
