With more than a thousand photos and illustrations, this Hematology Atlas | Clínica Hematológica Ilustrada presents to doctors, whether specialists or not in this area, relevant clinical aspects of Hematology. The subtitle Illustrated Hematological Clinic is justified by addressing in each chapter the essential points of benign or malignant hematological diseases that lend themselves to the diagnosis and understanding of their pathophysiology. We sought to highlight the diseases commonly found in this environment, but also present data on others rarer pathologies that they had the opportunity to diagnose. The subjects were divided between specialists who are concerned with relatively specific areas and who work continuously in clinical care for patients with various hematological disorders. In this sense, the work was divided into two sections that closely address aspects of the physiology and pathology of blood cells: erythrocytes, leukocytes and hemostasis in general.
