Book, Nutritional Care for Children and Adolescents 1/14[LS]

Currently, nutritional excesses, especially those characterized by overweight, affect a significant portion of the world population, particularly children and adolescents. Most of the time, these excesses are also accompanied by a deficiency of nutrients that are essential for the growth and development of the body, such as vitamins, minerals and dietary fiber. Aware of this scenario and imbued with the vision and responsibility for training future nutritionists, a group of professors from Laureate International Universities in Brazil, Mexico and Spain, as well as other national and international institutions, came together to prepare a book with a practical vision of nutritional care aimed at the population aged 2 years to 20 years. Nutritional Care for Children and Adolescents | Practical Vision aims to be a study and work tool, both for those who are entering the science of Nutrition and for those who already work with the child and adolescent population. The subjects covered in the different chapters aim to contribute to adequate nutritional assessment and diagnosis, ranging from the main problem caused by overeating, overweight, to image distortions, common among adolescents, anorexia and bulimia.
