Book, Until the day the dog died[LS]
Descrição
After renting an empty apartment in the center of Porto Alegre, a man of around 25 years old spends his days looking at the city through the window, drinking beer and walking around the neighborhood. Until a dog appears at his door, and a model named Marcela enters his life. The narrator's impasse also has a particular character: the difficulty of choosing between a daily life full of deprivations, but without emotional risks, and the infinite possibilities of affection. This is where the world becomes more complex and interesting. This is also where passions take their toll. With a minimalist style and in some passages virtuosic, Galera guides the reader with a slow pace that is not gratuitous: in its small accelerations and large pauses, it is as if Until the day the dog died reproduced the internal time of his character - the slow evolution , almost devoid of accidents, until your initial certainties begin to fade. The last pages, narrated by Marcela, subtly illuminate the moment when everything could be about to change. It is then that, in a story so marked by the sign of death, life finally gives its air of grace. Until the day the dog died was adapted for the cinema by Beto Brant and Renato Ciasca, with the title Dog without owner.
