Book, Merciless Love, The (or: about belief)[LS]

In this book, published simultaneously in Germany and England as Die gnadenlose Liebe (Merciless Love) and On Belief, Žižek shows his ability to start from apparently unproblematic premises, deep-rooted dispositions of conduct, as well as intellectual myths. which are not seen as such, in order to show how the structure of belief is much more ingrained than we would like to imagine. In this way, this expansion of belief does not function as an invitation to simply defend one's rationality, but to become clearly aware of the challenges that truly critical thinking must know how to overcome.Vladimir Safatle
