“Recuerde”, says the imperative sign in Spanish, while the car’s rearview mirror shows what is already in the past. “I have a collection of forgetfulness/ and only two hands to see the world”, laments the “submissive superman” who cannot keep up with the pace of events. All that remains is to observe minimal things like an ant or immense things like the universe and its stars. Time and space, insignificance and death are the main themes of this volume of unpublished works by Arnaldo Antunes, which oscillate between humor and disillusionment. Alternating poems in verse and visuals, photographs and “prose”, the work is marked by plurality, pop register and sound, so typical of the artist, who also signed the graphic project. A sensitive and challenging dialogue with contemporary man.
