In the mid-1950s, the Mol family from Ponte Nova, Minas Gerais, began making cascão guava as a way to give gifts to friends and relatives who visited them on their farm. Hence the story of one of the pioneer families in the manufacture of quality guava in the Ponte Nova region.

Grandpa Olavo's guava paste is in its third generation, and this name was chosen in honor of two of the family's great pioneers, grandfather, father and now produced by his grandson, all with the name Olavo. Grandpa Olavo guava has high quality control, producing and selecting 100% of the fruits on the farm itself and maintaining the formula with more than 60 years of tradition, thus achieving the satisfaction of customers from all over Brazil.
