The author, with an attentive and sensitive eye, records in his texts, created with undeniable aesthetic value, everyday facts, his feelings for nature, the disturbing questions of politics, the contradictions of love, the appreciation for friendship, affection people, social problems and busy urban space. Reading Rubem Braga's chronicles allows the reader to come into contact with human existence in a lyrical, light and humorous way. My ideal would be to write a story so funny that that girl who is sick in that gray house, when she read my story in the newspaper, would laugh, laugh so hard that she would cry and say oh my God, what a funny story! And then tell the cook and call two or three friends to tell the story; and everyone she told it to laughed a lot and was happily amazed to see her so happy.
