Fuels and Industrial Combustion - by Roberto Garcia
Fuels and Industrial Combustion - by Roberto Garcia
Descrição
This is a book that deals with two subjects: industrial fuels and traditional and state-of-the-art burners. All types of fuels - gaseous, liquid and solid - available in Brazil, including new fuels, such as glycerin and biodiesel, and also imported mineral coals, more commonly used, have their characteristics listed in order to be a source of information for the designer to carry out his projects and for the operation and optimization personnel to monitor the performance of their furnaces and equipment. A very practical approach is taken to the different types of industrial burners, aiming at a better understanding of their characteristics, applications and care for efficient and safe operation, in order to facilitate the choice of the most appropriate burner for each use. State-of-the-art radiant tubes and recuperative and regenerative burners are also presented, with wide application in the metallurgical and mechanical industries. Aspects of atmospheric emissions, pollutant monitoring and applicable legislation are also covered. The calculation of explosions is shown in a didactic way and illustrated with real cases. Students of chemical, energy, environmental and mechanical engineering will find it extremely useful to complete their training and as a source of future reference in their professional lives.
