Ancestry is the basis of this very popular drink - beer - which, throughout the history of different civilizations, had its taste refined, its ingredients refined and the places destined for its consumption designed both for the freedom that some styles demand and for the current sophistication for the most demanding tasters. Pubs, bars, alehouses, pubs or brewhouses, taprooms or taverns, in short, wherever you want to have a beer, that's where design can also be found. Whether to establish complicity, or to immerse the customer in one of those places where they can feel at will, participate in what is common with other beings in the community, that is, your third place, as proposed by the American sociologist Ray Oldenburg. With photos of significant taprooms or pubs from countries such as Germany, Australia, Belgium, France, England, Ireland, the Czech Republic and also Brazil, the book deals, in addition to the history and beer production process, with the design aspects that make of these successful local establishments, such as ergonomics, functionality, colors, environment, climate and visual appeal, combined with service and quality beer.
