Genocidal Bolsonaro: indigenous rights and the environment, Pandemic
Descrição
Genocidal Bolsonaro compiles research that demonstrates the action of the Jair Bolsonaro government to increase [i] disrespect for indigenous rights and environmental preservation (which puts the cultural and material survival of traditional Brazilian peoples at risk) and [ii] the proliferation of the coronavirus in the country (which contributed to the increase in Covid-19 cases, with the consequent collapse of the health system and an increase in the number of deaths). So it's two books in one. The content relating to indigenous rights and the environment is based on the complaint presented by the Human Rights Advocacy Collective (CADHu) and the ARNS Commission to the International Criminal Court based in The Hague, Netherlands, in November 2019, systematizing the widespread attacks and the incitement to genocide against indigenous peoples committed by Jair Bolsonaro in Brazil. The text has an introduction and update by Eloísa Machado and Luiz Eloy Terena. Regarding Covid-19, the investigation conducted by Conectas Human Rights in partnership with the Center for Research and Studies on Health Law (Cepedisa) of the Faculty of Public Health at USP, concluded in January 2021, demonstrates the strategy for spreading the coronavirus conducted systematically by the government and the direct relationship between federal normative acts, the constant obstruction of local responses and the propaganda promoted by Jair Bolsonaro. The introductory text is by Deisy Ventura, Rossana Rocha Reis and Fernando Aith.
