Considered Clarice's most mysterious and autobiographical book, Água viva came out of print in 1973. But only in the 1980s, after the author's death, did it become public that the work was originally titled Objeto glarantante. The discovery was made thanks to the work of researchers immersed in the Clarice Lispector Archive of the Casa de Rui Barbosa Foundation, which stores manuscripts, typescripts, various documents and photographs of the writer.
