Finally, the Brazilian reader has in their hands Art of Kitchen, the first cookbook published in Portuguese, in 1680. The work contains in full the recipes of Domingos Rodrigues and also some updated recipes by chef Flávia Quaresma, so that today's cook can reproduce them. Furthermore, the preface by anthropologist Paula Pinto e Silva helps to understand and contextualize the work, and the glossary clarifies terms such as drown (soak) and perdigoto (partridge chick), among other curiosities.
